MIKE 'THE DRIFTER' FLANIGIN
Mike 'The Drifter' Flanigin is a Hammond B3 organist who comes out of the tradition of the great jazz/blues organists of the 1940's-1960's. From Texas, he traveled to New York City early in his career to learn first-hand from his idol, legendary jazz organist Big John Patton. It was also during this period that he spent time with the great organ masters: Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff and Jimmy McGriff. Aside from his own solo career, he is also widely know as the 'go to' Hammond organist for guitar greats Jimmie Vaughan, Billy Gibbons and Steve Miller.
