MIKE 'THE DRIFTER' FLANIGIN
Mike 'The Drifter' Flanigin is a Hammond B3 organist who comes out of the tradition of the great jazz/blues organists of the 1940's-1960's. From Texas, he traveled to New York City early in his career to learn first-hand from legendary jazz organist Big John Patton. It was also during this period that he spent time with the great organ masters: Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff and Jimmy McGriff.
Aside from his own organ trio work, he is known as the 'go to' Hammond organist for Lone Star guitar legends Jimmie Vaughan, Billy Gibbons & Steve Miller. He has also performed with Robert Plant, Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Bonnie Raitt, Gary Clark Jr., Leon Bridges, Doyle Bramhall II, Charlie Sexton, Eric Kraso and many others.
